Cal Your Friends

Terms of use

Last updated 9 October 2026

The short version

Be kind, share invites only with people you want in your group, and treat the calendar as a helpful guide rather than a promise. You can leave or delete your account whenever you like.

About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Zenia Digital AB, a company in Sweden (“we”, “us”), for using the Cal Your Friends app and this website. By using the app, you agree to them. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Who can use it

You must be 13 or older, or 16 if you live in an EU country where that’s the minimum age for agreeing to online services yourself. Keep your phone and sign-in secure: you’re responsible for what happens in your account.

Acceptable use

Please don’t:

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You can report a person or a plan from the app (tap them in group settings, or open the plan). We look at every report within 24 hours, and we remove content and accounts that break these rules.

Your content

What you add to the app, like your name, profile picture, check-ins and plan titles, stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people in your groups, only as far as we need to run the app. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for plans you created, which stay with the group without your name. You’re responsible for what you post.

Groups and invites

Anyone with a group’s invite code or link can join it, so share it only with people you want in the group. Group admins can make a new link at any time, which stops the old one working, and can remove members. Members of a group can see each other’s availability as described in our Privacy policy. You can leave a group at any time. When the last member leaves, the group and its plans are deleted.

Availability is a best guess

Cal Your Friends shows when people are likely to be free, based on their calendars and check-ins. Calendars can be incomplete, out of date or slow to sync, so the calendar is a guide, not a guarantee. Always confirm plans with your friends.

The service

We work hard to keep Cal Your Friends running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. If we ever shut the app down, we’ll give you reasonable notice and a chance to download your data first.

No warranty

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we don’t make any promises about it beyond those in these terms. Nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, as far as the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, or for lost data, profits or opportunities, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and €50.

Ending things

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or when the law requires it. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll tell you why first.

App Store

If you got the app from the App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple isn’t responsible for the app or its support; we are.

Changes to these terms

When we update these terms, we’ll change the date at the top. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you don’t agree with the new terms, you can delete your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. If you live in the EU or UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
